Staring at your dreams tonight.
The moon looks so bright.
As a star lights the sky.
I’m still alive cause it’s the best years of my life.
My heart cries sometimes.
Since it will never fly.
I close my eyes and realize
that sun shines down all over me.
Bringing to focus my reality
And the rays hit the ground.
My heart starts to pound.
I look at my vision to see how it turns upside down.
And I can’t think of a way to leave this town.
I know that it can be found.
When my soul starts to live.
I feel like a target.
Everyone and their mothers wants a start of this.
But few know what it takes to create this bliss.
When I think of all the ways I’ve cried.
I start to realize that my life was not a lie.
If I could do this all again.
I think we could be more than friends.
